Newsletter summer 2014

24-cavity fully electrical production tool

In June, Sønderborg Værktøjsfabrik (SV) delivered a 24-cavity production tool with four servo electrical side drives and an electrically activated Hot Runner. The tool was performance tested and approved by our Test Centre and the process parameters and interfaces were checked and fine-tuned prior to delivery together with the customer. The tool is one of several concepts SV has developed in cooperation with customers’ tools managers and demonstrates a trend going in the direction of further electrification in regard to the production of plastic parts in cleanrooms.

New machines commissioned by SV

The most recently commissioned machines, namely the new Röders RXP 600 DSH 5-axis milling machine, which is part of our automatic robot milling line, and the new Agie Cut-2000 spark erosion cutting machine, have met our expectations and have already performed many tasks in the manufacture of tool parts. As for our other production equipment, the quality delivered is monitored several times a day in the form of both visual inspections and measuring of critical steel dimensions. This is a natural part of our tool documentation, which is provided to the customer.

Exciting autumn ahead!

The next newsletter will be published in September. There are clear indications that we will be able to tell you about yet another good period with reasonable activity and many exciting projects in the pipeline for our customers. For SV, maintaining the close dialogue with our customers is of the utmost importance and to ensure that our skills and capacity can be adjusted to the needs of our customers. We call it Customer Focus. Enjoy your summer!

Increasing interest…

Many of our customers are extremely busy at the moment. Both in terms of ongoing assignments and upcoming launches of new products. SV is proud of the trust our customers show us, both in respect of our production capacity, project management and the resources we can offer from our new domicile. During the past quarter, we have hired more staff to reflect our customers’ interests and increasing demands. We are fully prepared to participate in your next projects.

Gammaflux Hot Runner controllers

For some years, SV has represented Gammaflux controllers in Scandinavia. In the future, SV will still perform this task focusing on Danish customers. Throughout the years, we have received optimum back-up and service from Gammaflux Wiesbaden where controllers are completed subject to the customer’s specifications and delivered directly to the customer. Wiesbaden is also the European service centre and stores documentation and spare parts.
